I had my uncle, a professional tailor, check out how I had swen in the plackets on the zipper of my term project -- a skirt with suspenders -- and he just "kvelled," and deemed it terrific! Must've been good, 'cause I did get an A. But beyond the requisite day we HAD to wear our term project to schoolin order to get a passing grade, I never put that damned skirt on again.
: yes i took sewing too at Gershwin..don't remember the teacher's name but i really screwed up the ugly orange blouse I made..too tight in the hips and too big in the bust...and i had to wear it in a fashion show in the auditorium! Ughh!!
