What a lovely and eloquent tribute to Miss Olanoff! I'm glad I was able to speak to her shortly before her death and let her know just how many of her old pupils keep her uppermost in mind, even after thirty some odd years. It was the truth -- I was only telling her the feedback I had heard from so many I had located and contacted for the March reunion, but she was terribly touched to hear it, nonetheless. A part of her will always live on in the work you do with your own students.
