I have very vivid memories of our Dugan's delivery guy coming to our floor (12th) once a week on Thursdays and then later, Friday afternoons, and announcing his arrival by bellowing, "DUGAN'S BAKED BREADS!!" He was positioned right at the vortex of the three-way split of the building's wings, and his voice would echo and rebound off the tiled walls. And we'd all troop out to give him our orders for the following week. And I STILL miss getting authentic Brooklyn seltzer delivered to our door! Egg creams just haven't tasted the same since. :-)
