Does anyone remember PS 273 with passionate gratitude and fondness, as I do? Remember Dr. Nevins, the aristocratic and paternal principal; the exciting Mr. Stephan Fischer, 4th grade & science teacher, who made me stand on my head to demonstrate peristaltic action (yes, the sandwich did go UP to my stomach); the beautiful and nurturing Mrs. Bloch, 2nd grade teacher; the crazy Mrs. Edleman, kindergarten teacher, who played a mean piano. We were so lucky to have this school and its dedicated faculty.
